Clematis hirsutissima

A dwarf herbaceous clematis from the western United states. References state that it can reach 50cm high, mine is more like 20cm. Here it makes an interesting addition to raised bed planted mostly with alpines. Hirsute = hairy, most notably the leaves. Looking nice in some evening sunshine, promising a fine day tomorrow.

Much ado in the house tonight as number 1 daughter awaits delivery of a new bed while number 2 has inherited number 1's old 'high bed'. The resulting congestion in the garage where all things overflow to is quite scary!
