MonoMonday:Festive

This is a poignant reminder of Xmas's past when we would use our gum tree in a pot as our Xmas tree.

In those days it was small enough to move inside and drape with lights and ornaments. It looked wonderful!

These days it has grown so tall it reaches the ceiling with a bit more left over! Not to mention that it's very heavy too so its days of dressing up are over.

This decoration has been hanging there for about five years on one of the lower branches, I often notice it and remember happy times.....
