celebrate

I gave my presentation today. It went rather well. For the first time in a long time I felt like I was really and truly myself, speaking from my heart about my work. The committee seemed engaged, asked some great questions and clapped when I was finished.

Although I was cautioned that it might take months for them to make a decision, I received a call within an hour that the project was approved.

The rest of the day went by in a blur and after dinner there was champagne!
