Wandsworth Common: Frugivorous Heron?!

More confused in large...

It actually dropped its fruity find a few moments later. This poor heron wasn't having much luck, and found these fruit (they look like mulberries, but surely not?) after only just having been tricked by a stick [= blip alternative]. There are a few other shots of the heron to the right of my blip alternative.
