sticky gingerbread cake

Eve was very excited by the gingerbread we made for her to give to Jess tomorrow. It was a challenge keeping her head out of the pan..... most pics came out looking like she was hanging her head over a sick bucket for just that reason.

Today I managed to get a turkey in the fridge - a step in the right direction. Christmas seems completely alien without Mum but I'm sure it will feel okay once the family is gathered over the next few days. Ju and Vic are on their way back from the big apple and we're looking forward to hearing about their adventures.
