The Jaipur
I was really stressed at work this morning. Largely because of the continuing harassment and bullying of a former client, not just of me but other members of the firm. I am fortunate to have a good risk management system around me to help with situations such as this and they take the strain. Still, it's an unpleasant time.
As usual I was pleased to leave at lunchtime and to go to C's to catch up with her. Her squeaky voice is gradually getting back to normal but she still feels very unwell and is struggling to cope in her own mind but I must say she is doing marvellously. Tilly is home and looking pretty well in spite of everything, though she had some rashes on her face from the plasters used in hospital to keep her oxygen and feed tubes in place, poor love.
Teddy was a joy as usual. As his Grandma fed him he entertained us with peepo and pop goes the weasel. He can't make the noise but that doesn't bother him! He was fascinated by the new (fake) Christmas tree and kept tugging at it (luckily it was well tied into the wall). He giggled away to himself as he was tugging at the branches. Goodness knows what he's going to be like once it's been decorated! He's such an entertainer and loves making people laugh.
Then I went to the head shrink for a good session, went home, put on some slap for once (well it is Christmas) and jewelry and went out to eat with lodger L and his family at the beautiful Jaipur restaurant in MK. The setting is wonderful, with some excellent decor, lots of room and a beautiful palm tree overlooking each table. The food was pretty good and we had a great giggle. L had definitely had a bit too much to drink and was rather tired so was slurring but did make me laugh. It was a lovely evening and I was glad to forget the early part of the day. We left at about 10pm, wishing each other Happy Christmas and went our separate ways.
