Blue Tit at Fairburn

Despite the forecast suggesting wall to wall rain, this morning has been fine and dry, although a little breezy.

I decided to take myself off down to Fairburn Ings for a walk and to try out my Christmas present (my Big Sig). There wasn't a lot of water birds about so I contented myself with the woodland birds and squirrels. I spent about 20 minutes watching a squirrel trying to get to the fat balls in a squirrel proof feeder. He was climbing round and round the cage and up and over it, while all the time his mate was hanging upside down on one of the seed feeders gorging himself!

I liked this Blue Tit and the pose he was striking.

Please check out my blip from last nigh at York Minster which I have also just posted
