Painting with light

At around 4.15pm today it looked like mother nature had got her paintbox out and was having a good old play, the light was changing so quickly.

I took this leaning out of our second floor office window.  It doesn't open very wide so it was a bit of a squeeze and not really much room to allow me to breathe.  It was only when I uploaded the image that I noticed the birds.

The campus was like a ghost town today and the world seemed very quiet as I cycled home shortly after taking this photo.
