Lincolnshire and specifically the Fenland area is the vegetable and packing hub of the UK.  The logistics involved in the supermarket supply chain at certain times of the year, flowers for Mother's day, brussel sprouts for Christmas, are mind boggling.  Most of the food is now on the supermarket shelves and the farmers and workers in this huge agrarian machine can have a couple of days well earned rest.
