The Plank

Oona maintained the plank for 90 seconds, bribed by her aunties. Not bad going for a 9year old. 

Later, I had a lesson in good photography, courtesy of my mother-in-law's old collection of family shots from the '50's.  They reminded me how much context counts.  Toys, clothes, housing, even the dog breed all clearly suggest living the Finnish countryside.  The photographer's name was forgotten, but the images still appear so fresh.

Finally this evening we decorated the tree.  Tomorrow is the big celebratory day in Finland, so Happy Christmas to you all.
