Trimming the tree

First day of annual leave and I trimmed the tree in the garden. We like a real tree but with three dogs it would be challenging to have one in the house and that's without taking the cat into account.

While I was putting the baubles on the tree a few miles down the road the vet was removing Ruari's. We picked him up at tea time and he is very clingy, he is lying at my feet as I type this, something he never does.

I know it sounds cruel to do this when he is so young but especially at this time of year the rescue kennels are overflowing with unwanted dogs and puppies and we don't want to contribute to this in the future.

On the bright side he is being hand fed chicken pieces.
