.......my mood at the moment........

.........is not good.

Apologies for not blipping or commenting for a while......but I have an excuse..........I have back blipped..........all will be explained if you care to take a look back over the last four  or five days.
The Boss and I went shopping this morning............at 6.30........and the shops are only closed for Christmas Day!..........we must be mad!

The rest of the day has been spent wrapping presents and getting ready for the big day...........and fielding phone calls and emails about the parents.

Physio at 4.10..............saw the senior practitioner...........she made me stand in bare feet...........walk up and down..........balance on the good leg..........and then the dodgy one........lay down on the couch.......both knees manipulated.....lying on my back.........and on my front.

The verdict?

No cartilage damage..........I stand and walk with my right leg twisted........and I have a damaged Medial Collateral Ligament......partly the result of a serious football injury when I was 20.........partly by the way I walk....partly by "wear and tear"........and partly by a recent injury that has probably left scar tissue.

Treatment.......complete new set of gentle exercises as the ones I was given to do back in November have "probably" exacerbated the damage.....and a referral to Orthotics to see if there are any devices etc that can correct the situation............so no surgery....hooray.......but at least a month until I can be seen by Orthotics,,,,,,,,boo!......

Still at least it's good to have  a firm diagnosis after 6 months of fannying around.

No change in Dad today.
