Christmas in York

Kev and I went to York today it was lovely.

We always park near St Mary's abbey which is quite near the river Ouse.

We walked the bottom way into the abbey grounds near the river. I couldn't believe how high the river was. It has breached its banks and when we returned it was coming onto the foot path. I bet York and its town folk hate this time of year when the rises.
Saying that I have seen it very high in summer covering the benches like today.

It is such a beautiful place with so much history.
