One of my favourite tradition
On the 23rd of December my mom, my sister and I try to have the day off to run the last errands before Christmas. We always go to the cemetery to light a candle by our loved ones graves. It's always a nice moment. This picture is taken there.
After running errands and visiting relatives we decorate the tree before eating the traditional delicacy, fermented stingray, which is the traditional cuisine on this day. Fewer are celebrating this tradition nowadays, only the brave ones, I think it's the awful smell that scares people off. The fermented fish has always been on the table on this very day in my home since I can remember. This year however my dad skipped the fermented part and served salted cod which was delicious.
