99 miles into the Fred Whitton Challenge, having climbed all bar one of the other major passes in the lakes (Wrynose is still to come) you hit this!

Many people, including me, walked part of this. And note the added motorised obstacles, themselves struggling. And when you get to the top the descent is steep, bendy, rough and basically horrid.
