Life Line

The canal in front of the Aloe Shack is the life blood of this area. Built in the late 30's, it feeds the area with water. The water originates from the mighty Orange River into the canal, and we in turn pump it from the canal into water tanks.

After that floculant (makes the debris settle) is added as well as chlorine (so we can drink it).

There is nothing more satisfying than enjoying a cup of coffee made with this precious commodity.
