Almost there

Its almost Christmas Day and my Coat Hooks are almost up (screws are too short to hold the weight it seems - so trip to Hardware store on Boxing Day). These are the lovely hooks I got while visiting some very special people in Portland early in the year . We had a handy man and his team that have done a few jobs for us who promised a nice pice of reclaimed wood a number of times but by November I felt we need to pursue other avenues , though it seems reclaimed timber hard to fine and travelling almost 100km to try and find something suitable seemed a little OTT. We therefore re-assessed and settled on a piece of  newTasmanian Oak and varnished it and it hopefully will look great. It also has some connection to other furniture  that is also made of similar Oak
