Chris left for work earlier than usual this morning and left Amelie and I sleeping. She slept longer than usual but woke up grumpy and clingy and has spent all morning winding me up. Oh how difficult it is to be 2!

Eventually she decided that she could in fact, play by herself and has been fine since. She is currently sitting at the other end of the table to me playing with 'statyoos' which are actually the stamps from my letter stamping set. I'm not sure why she insists that they are statues...or why she pronounces it in such a 'Penicuik' accent....or indeed why she has to shout I WIN every time she stamps one on the paper.

She is now stamping her tongue.

She must be learning all these new words from the dictionary.
