Meat Market

At the annual Hart's Christmas Eve meat auction at Smithfield Market.
Meat and turkeys are sold off pre Christmas, in a tradition that goes back years. The butchers hold up the meat, the punters hold up their £20 notes and most people seem to go away happy, with a big lumps of meat in bags and suitcases.
This might be the last one, as the market is threatened with a very unsympathetic demolition redevelopment into offices.
