Stowe
We're nearly there. We've just been out and watched the International Space Station Santa Claus fly past. The turkey is in its brine (Nigella - worked really well last year), sausagemeat and chestnut stuffings made, and all there is left to do is prepare the vegetables. Traditionally, I do that while W and her sister go out for a walk on Christmas morning. Also traditionally, we have a buffet on Christmas Eve and W has this year made a Game Pie as the centrepiece. The Muppet Christmas Carol is on the TV, and the Champagne is about to be opened. All is looking good so far.
We went for a walk this morning to Stowe Landscape Gardens where this was taken. It's the classic Stowe shot; I've Blipped it before and I had to stand right next to two blokes with much bigger lenses than me to get it. The building in the distance is a triangular folly, but is habitable and can be booked as a holiday cottage through Landmark Trust. Stowe is a great place for a walk and the gardens are beautiful.
Thanks for all the comments and stars recently - apologies for not replying and commenting as much myself but it's a busy time - as it is for all of us! I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and it brings you all that you would hope for.
