Dodgy Dave saves the day... sort of.

Rudolph and his friends (including Texann) had mysteriously all caught a cold, so Santa was going to be struggling to deliver all of the children's presents overnight (not that Texann normally helped him with that). That's when Dodgy Dave suddenly appeared out of nowhere, as though he knew this might happen.  He'd just really wanted to do something good for a change and was offering to help.  Santa knew not to look too closely at the red gem that Dodgy Dave was using to light the way or to ask where he'd acquired the sleigh and ATV at such short notice. He was just grateful that Dodgy Dave seemed to be trying to turn over a new leaf in time for the New Year.

In the meantime, Jessie had on a brave face while cleaning up doggie 'gifts', in the hope of making a last minute switch onto Santa's 'Nice' list.  Wee Jimmy was poking and prodding at his present-filled stocking, trying to guess what he was getting, and thinking to himself, "I hope it's not more of that Lego stuff!"
