Santa Special

Our daughter booked a compartment for the family on the Santa Special today on the Nene Valley Railway.  They have been running about 5 trips every Saturday and Sunday since the beginning of December.  The children get to see Santa before boarding the train, and are given excellent presents.  Once on the train, travelling between Wansford and Peterborough (and back again) food and drinks are served (what you get depends on which ticket you buy - we got sandwiches, sausage rolls, hot mince pies, port/wine/beer, tea and coffee).  It was a very enjoyable trip on this gleaming train!
