Remembering at Christmas

For me and like many, part of Christmas day is also about remembering those we have lost. My family members all wanted their ashes to be tipped into the sea - so they could travel around the world, as mum explained. So we go to the pier we tipped her off 5 years ago since and remember her, dad and my sister by tossing 3 posies into the water (along with a few tears). Two more were added to the rememberance this year as we remembered my aunties.

I don't see it as a sad affair anymore but as a magical moment where I feel close to them on a magical day.
