Why Is Christmas So Early?

What's wrong with this picture? I got up first and had to persuade a reluctant son that he should get up and open his presents before he going to school rather than, as he insisted upon doing, sleeping in longer and opening his presents after coming home. Eventually, the magic of Christmas got the better of him and he joined us for the annual unwrapping ceremony. My daughter got up early because she needed to open the parcel containing her new party clothes which she would need to wear to a party later in the day. Now it is 2000 but the fun isn't over yet. We still have the cake to eat and the first Adam West Batman episode to watch. Christmas is great; we should do it every year!
