More cheese Gromit?

Went for a run first thing, cold and blustery but it cleared the cobwebs. An attempt to keep the calories in check. Walked the same route this evening before setting off for the midnight service in Colinton.

In between times we went, as we did this time last year, to Morningside to do a last bit of shopping. Especially for cheese from Mellis's, as we did this time last year. Bought some gorgonzola (for which Mellis's are justifiably famous), some Auld Lochnagar and some Manchego. Passed by a leather shop and was tempted inside to purchase a new wallet, found one but unfortunately was not stuffed with £50 notes as I expected it to be.

Had a hot, tasty bowl of soup in a good little cafe called Blush. Then it was off to Waitrose for wine and coffee. The weather was similar too, cold with blustery showers that were quite vicious when they hit.

The midnight service was very good and put you in the spirit of the season and ready for mince pies, shortbread and sherry before bed.
