Nan gets it right !

The day began with the most splendidly beautiful mackerel sky covering from horizon to horizon.
The girl decided she wanted to spend the day on the sofa watching Christmas movies, so that's what we did, with lots of hot brandies, cheese and biscuits, and mince pies to help us through it. And scallops and monkfish with home-grown kale for dinner. Delicious.
It's not really me to sit about all day, but I have quite enjoyed it, even though it was a super day out there, pleasant and spring-like, full of birdsong.
The highlight of the day was seeing the videos of my little grandson unwrapping his gift from me - and declaring that it's the best thing he's ever had. Result !
