Happy Christmas and happy memories.

Happy memories of course for us. Much less so for all the relatives of the fallen of the Great War. It is with heartfelt gratitude to those who fought/fight in subsequent wars, so that we can enjoy the freedom we have today to celebrate the wonder of Christmas, that we remember once again.

I was able to visit London twice this year, and Mrs DD was with me on the second occasion, to see the memorable display of poppies  at the Tower of London. A great weekend.

We were fortunate enough to be able to purchase on of the limited (880.000!) ceramic poppies as a keepsake and reminder.

As a memento of the display, this was our Christmas gift to my parents. Thanks to you both for many happy memories down the years.
