Yuletide Pastime in good company

A gentle, companionable afternoon spent in the company of my art department colleague-friends and their families (eight of us in all), engaged in the usual festive pastimes of making merry - board games, delicious food and drink and a silly super movie (Nanny McPhee).  A  busy morning in the kitchen started the day (making nut roast and cauliflower cheese) and a quiet, reflective evening by myself closed it. 

Beautiful intensely blue skies - not a cloud to be seen. Wonderfully warm and sunny - so much so that we sat outside for a while with our drinks and board game before lunch!
