Glee
Christmas, they say is for "wee ones". So let us put aside for a moment the importance of the midwinter pagan festival, the Christian belief in the birth of Jesus, let's ignore the hyper-marketing and profit taking of the greedy merchandisers who take full advantage of our soppy sentiments, let's ignore the Victorian monstrosities of the Christmas tree and the plastic baubles and fake greenery with which we proudly decorate our rooms. Let's just go for the children thing. Here are two happy kids, Grace just after she played us a fine tune on her school flute and Daniel as he broke from his toys to spoon his Christmas breakfast inside. Here is the real joy of Christmas, unfettered human joy and happiness in the simplest of things.
