The humbylbee in the medow

According to wikipedia, the Bumble Bee was originally called the Humble Bee as far back as 1450 and stayed in use up until some time after WW1.

Then along came Beatrix Potter and her Tale of Mrs Tittlemouse and the line 'Babbitty Bumble--"Zizz, Bizz, Bizzz!"' After that, Bumble seems to have universally replaced the Humble, except in the case of Kate who just wouldn't have the same gravitas as a Bumble would she:)
