Christmas Lunch with the Robsons

A terrific day today. Woke late and was treated to breakfast in bed. Two warm gluten free croissants with butter and home made blackcurrant jam.

Made the bread sauce, and then across Charnwood Forest to Leicester where we shared Christmas lunch with George and Kat and Kat's Mum and Dad and Nana. Kat did a wonderful job of cooking Christmas lunch aided and abetted by George in the drinks hospitality department. Here you see the turkey about to be carved.

I even ate four Brussels Sprouts with bacon.

No room for pudding so we retired to the sofa where I fell asleep and missed virtually all of Strictly Come Dancing for Christmas. Everyone else had pudding while I was slumbering.

We rounded off the day by playing games in the evening. Amazing how game playing brings out the aggression and ambition in players, and a good laugh.

Time for tea and bed.
