Over Par

The rain managed to stay off for most of the day and it actually felt quite warm out of the wind. No excuses for not joining some of the other retired gentlemen of the village for a relaxing 9 holes of golf.

I have only ever played golf sporadically as it always seemed to take up too much of your day. Easier to go out for a half hour run than disappear to the golf course for half a day! As a boy, I only played when our family came to Carradale for a week's holiday at Easter every year. The clubs were at least second hand and bought at the Boys Brigade jumble sale. Despite this, golf seemed much easier and I went round in a lot fewer strokes than I do know!

Never mind, today's blip is of the 8th green looking towards the Kilbrannan sound with Arran in the background and Ailsa Craig in the distance. Decided it should be blipped as it was the only hole I won!

The golf may have been well over par, but the banter was great. On days like this you just have to forget about the golf and enjoy the company and the wonderful surroundings!
