To buy or not to buy?

I'm looking to get a new lense for my much loved Nikon and I'm a little clueless.

Can anyone give me any idea if this is worth it or not?

I want a lense that means I do have to swap about too much or carry to much lit about so ideally a wide angle with a pretty decent soon.
