Wrexham Maelor labour ward

A jolly picture of some of the staff working on the labour ward at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital on Christmas day.

They are  Jan Roberts, Lorraine McGuire, Alyson Hatton, Liz Pentz and Emma 'Talulah' Mackie.

As is tradition we pop round the Chester and Wrexham hospitals to get pictures of Christmas babies for the Leader and Standard newspapers.

I went to Chester at 12.00 where very unusually they had no Christmas deliveries up to that point but there was a Christmas Eve baby with a festive surname Noah Carroll so that was good.

On to Wrexham for 1.00 where there were two Christmas babies. Welcome to the world Deacon Hazeldine and Marcie Mae Griffiths.

I always like to get a picture of the staff on duty who do a brilliant job putting in the hours on Christmas day.
