Christmas Jewels!

What did I discover under our tiny Christmas tree on this morning but a small shiny purple bag! And what was inside? A pair of black diamond earrings, courtesy of my husband! ("I wanted to get you something completely impractical," he said.)

Was I the only one to receive fancy jewels at Christmas? Why, no! The Dancing Girl received a special gift too: a tiny golden tiara (that just fit her perfectly), not unlike an angel halo. And then she got to wear it while sitting at the very tippy-top of the Christmas tree: a holiday dream come true!

The song is another kind of Christmas jewel: Jewel, singing the Christmas classic O Holy Night.
