Weed or wild flower?

I'm pretty good at identifying British fauna, but I'm pants when it comes to flora. This ....whatever it is... has just sprung up out of a permanent puddle on the footpath by the viaduct. It is just standing there all by itself in splendid isolation.

Did I mention how lousy my day became yesterday after leaving the office? The knock on impact of the various things that were going haven't yet proved to be as bad as I was expecting, but give it time.

I'm due to fly out to Pune on Sunday, my passport and visa are due to be couriered to me on Saturday. I'm not the most laid back of travelers at the best of times, so I think my blood pressure will be rising nicely by then.
