Christmas Day

We were up early with little Miss Scarlett who had so many Christmas presents to open - It took us about 2 hours to open everything, and then we had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast, with bucks fizz.

It's been a beautiful day, so Alan and I took the boys for a walk to the beach while Scarlett had a nap. There were so many people out  and about, and we saw one family having a picnic on the beach with champagne.  The sea was quite rough and kept crashing against the wall, but it took a long time to get a decent shot, and I like the line of people walking by the cliffs in this one.   It's certainly different to all our Christmas's spent in Belgium, but it's great. 

once home, we had a lovely Christmas dinner of roast duck with all the trimmings and a nice relaxing afternoon.  Having children in the house certainly makes Christmas special.
