Boxing Day dip

We visited Sidmouth today to witness the Boxing Day dip into the sea.  It was a cold wet day, probably warmer in the sea.  Nevertheless a large number of people turned out to cheer the swimmers as they took the plunge.  We then rushed back into a warm coffee shop feeling we had made the best of the weather today.
