Out In The Country

With our friends we traditionally go for a bracing Boxing Day walk, taking turkey sandwiches and stopping for a pint or two at a friendly hostelry.
This year they all came up with a variety of excuses, 'Too tired' being the main one.
So it was just LooseCanon and me. I took my new telephoto lens out for a spin too, and we saw some lovely bulrushes. I love their velvety texture.
Then we went for our longed for pint.

Q Why did the bullrush?
A Because it saw the cowslip.
