By Gloucester Quays

I managed to get to Gloucester early this afternoon, after a busy day, and wandered down to the Quays. I only had about thirty minutes to take pictures before going to the nearby village of Hempsted to pick Helena up from her job.

There were more people than I expected walking about beside the final stretch of the Sharpness Canal, just before it becomes Gloucester Docks proper. The sun was shining intermittently as clouds scudded about, but it was delightfully warm.

Various reflections caught my eye, particularly these vibrant colours bouncing off a narrowboat moored on the opposite bank. I think I must allow even more time to explore further along towards the city centre in future.
