Golden Sands, Blue Skies.....

....and sizzling heat!!

This morning we headed north on the Bruce Highway, about an hours drive to a super spot called Balgal Beach - an awesome place, not too many people. The beach goes for miles as far as the eye can see, just amazing, golden sands, some interesting rock formations and pools. An area is netted off to keep the stingers at bay and a lifeguard keeps a sharp on the swimmers.  We just paddled but may as well been swimming as Nana got very wet!!

Apart from the beach and camping, this place is famous for their fish and chip parcels.  So why not.....we found a shady spot, the blokes went off to get the fish and chips while we opened the Eskie and got the chilled drinks out.

Frisbie throwing, soccer and donkey was played for a while ( at a sedate pace I might add) before deciding to head home and to the pool.

Aidan blew up the water slide which was a heap of fun.

I've just skulled a beer, now a Kahlua, milk over ice is being sipped - what a life we are leading here in the tropics.

Such a lot to be thankful for.
