Posh Potatoes

Bb and I quite often exchange our Christmas pressies on the 26th and this year was no exception. We've stopped feeling guilty about it or thinking it's strange. It means we aren't sleepy after our Christmas dinner and can enjoy it more. We'd both done our shopping on Christmas eve in the same few streets in Gracia and had given ourselves a limit of two hours. Quite a few of our pressies came from the same shops, but luckily no duplicates and only one small return!

Early evening we went out for a walk and headed into Sants area and stopped for a few tapas at Monumental, a traditional place with white jacketed waiters and lovely old marble tables. The food was more 'trying too hard' than rustic and what you see here are the humble 'patatas bravas', usually just piled high on a plate! For anyone who knows Barcelona, they don't have a look in on the famous bravas from Bar Tomas' in Sarria!
