Back up the glen
Another shot from a dog walk up the glen, showing the poor patient dog waiting while I take more photos. This was before she showed her complete daftness by panicking, thinking I had left her behind on the other side of a fence after I went over a stile which was too slippy for her to attempt. She flatly refused to see the hole in the fence for her to come through, the hole I was putting my hands through to try and pull her through! A St Bernard would a have made it, but she was having none of it until I untied and enlarged the hole for her.
Looking forward to a family dinner tonight, sadly without Callum and his Mum, but they are in Glasgow awaiting the next suitable transport back to Crosshouse. Callum's vapotherm is being turned down, and his central line has been removed, so he's doing very well. He liked the play gym he got for Christmas too, falling asleep underneath it on Christmas day! We have no idea when the move will be made, it will have to fit in with other neonatal transport requirements around Scotland (the service is based at Yorkhill, but covers the whole country), so could be in an hour, or in a few weeks! They are likely to take Callum down when they need to pick up a baby at Crosshouse to bring it up to Yorkhill either for a scheduled operation or for emergency treatment, hence the lack of clarity as to when he will be back in Kilmarnock. As far as we are concerned, getting to Crosshouse from Arran takes about 15 minutes less than getting to Yorkhill, so it makes little difference to us.
