Diary of an Edinburgher

Archie's small step...

This afternoon Archie endured his two bêtes noires - a toddler and a baby! At the same time. In his house. In his LOUNGE!

I had some very tasty leftover roast chicken pieces, and fed him constantly when they first came in. The wee visitor, M, was calm and quiet, and he eventually deigned to take treats from her wee hand. Though he would NOT sit near her for a photo. This was the nearest we got - what a LOOK! That's JR's hand clamped on Arch - otherwise he wouldn't be there!

He did very well - stayed in the lounge, even when the baby cried! But with a haunted look on his face. I feel it's a step forward, but a tiny one...

The last few days we've both been reading LOTS on our respective Kindles. In fact, yesterday afternoon we were all in the lounge for hours, reading, and the backlit Kindles came in very handy - nobody needed to get up and put lights on! But at any one time, there was always at least one of us snoozing. In the dark.

JR has had her nose in her Kindle for days. She's reading 'All the Light We Cannot See' by Anthony Doerr - it came highly recommended from a friend in NZ the other day. Two minutes later - it's magically in our library. Isn't technology wonderful! When it's working...

And yes, another rant about the new Blipfoto site would fit in here quite well. But I won't...

PS the photo's a bit grainy - I had to waz up the ISO as it was getting dark... But my EXIF data disappeared with the new site! Oops - another wee glitch...
