Stockings
The others left for a weekend in London at 8.30am. I heard them but was not up. I slept very well last night and am feeling decidedly better today with only a hint of a cough so I think the quiet day at home yesterday was a worthwhile stitch in time.
I watched a bit of telly in bed, random stuff just because I can (!), then stripped all three guest beds to ensure I get them all washed before the family comes back tomorrow evening.
I got to the George & Dragon pub in Chacombe to meet with the Ls (including in laws). I was treated to lunch and then repaired to theirs for coffee. The blip is of Tilly's bespoke Christmas stocking, knitted by my 15 year old niece who is hugely talented with her hands - and feet, being an accomplished clog dancer - as well as being a brain box and all round lovely girl, with model looks and nearly six feet tall too. Some people just have it all! She also made a bespoke stocking for Teddy. Those kids are going to have those forever. What lucky things....
C's brother in law and family arrived and I stayed for a brief chat as I don't know them very well then did a quick supermarket shop and came home to continue the washing but mainly to watch Quins v Saints at Twickenham and to enjoy some more quiet time.
The friends I was due to see tomorrow aren't now coming, so I've arranged to see my youngest brother for coffee but will also need to do a quick house clean for the coming week...
