Ferry over the River Meuse

As a teen I grew up on the Isle of IJsselmonde and the only way to go to Dordrecht on the other side was by ferry or over the railway bridge in the backdrop.

For old memories sake I went back to this quay of the river Meuse and discovered not much has changed. Only the railway hoist bridge and the old ferry have been replaced by more modern upgrades.

Despite the belated 'White Christmas snow' this morning there was a faint sun this afternoon adding the necessary atmosphere to the backdrop.
