Neighbours

When we are here in Barcelona at Christmas our neighbours Ferran, Mercé and their son Bru always come round for brunch/lunch. As you can see it's always a relaxed affair and it was great to have some decent time together. We talked of future plans and reminisced about our sixteen years over the wall from each other. Bru was just a toddler when we moved in and now he's doing a double degree in economics and statistics. We gave him a vinyl LP by The Cure to kick start his collection and he played it on our turntable to hear the richness of the sound. He was delighted, which is a nice emotion to generate in the young. He might even buy deck. Today was the first time in his life that he had placed a record on one, watched it spin up to 33rpm and cued the stylus to drop down at the start of track one on side one. And boy, did it sound good!
