Edible snow

The news is full of weather stories today, with planes stranded on runways, cars stranded on roads and people stranded in pubs (hardly the worst place to be trapped ...) All due to heavy overnight snow in Scotland, Wales, Northern England and some of the Midlands.

Here in Kent we're feeling just a bit deprived, with not so much as a flake of the white stuff having fallen. So we have had to create our own. My daughter has been busy making and baking snowflake biscuits, and then meticulously icing them. My job has been confined to adding silver balls and sparkle. Oh, and cooking supper and helping remove a layer of icing sugar from most of the kitchen surfaces!
