In The Bleak Midwinter

We left Malaga early. The pilot said he wanted to try to beat the snow to Manchester airport. The plane was less than half full and we made good time and arrived 20 minutes early.
We were collected from the airport and whisked through the chilly drizzle towards the Wirral. Shirley and Jim's new apartment is very comfortable, warm and cosy. Just as well as the snow started soon afterwards and hasn't stopped yet.
We should wake to a winter wonderland in the morning.
Oh joy. We left a beautiful sunny and warm day behind!!
