A field day

Miss A and D had a field day today.

We saw some sunshine this morning so I took the kids out for a drive and we ended up in some fields where the kids could run around. It was great to get some fresh spring air in the lungs again after such a run of miserable weather.

We'd arranged to meet Esther and Phoenix at soft play this afternoon but we got more than we bargained for as they also brought along an old work friend of mine, Alice and her adorable daughter, Carla. Carla's almost 5 and instantly took a shine to D, making sure he was well looked after and tending to his every need while the mummies sat and had a good (but nowhere near long enough) catch up. Definitely one to be continued.

As Miss A's 3rd birthday fast approaches, we're seeing a little more attitude every day. Today's remarks were:

You're a really nasty mummy. (in a sing-song manner with a cheeky smirk on her face)

You can't order me! (to daddy, who asked her to put her pj's on)

I'm so glad D can't speak yet.
